I contacted Aegean capital in order to secure a business line of credit. Everthing seemed legitimate. Gave them my company information and we where approved for our requested line of credit. At this point they requested a $ 2500 fee which I initiallyfelt uncomfortable with. I did sign a form stating that if they did not fund my line within 90 days that my money would be refunded. This made me more comfortable about the fee.
At this point I was under the impression that I was approved and that the line would funded within a week. I then received a phone call from someone else from within the company requesting more information. Now I come to find out that they are nothing but brokers and where securing my line of credit through US Bank. I could have just as easily gone down to my local US Bank branch and applied myself. At this point I am very upset that they are nothing but brokers charging a horendous fee.
I then contacted them and requested a refund of my fee.
The person I was dealing with said no problem and that the money would be refunded. Again everything seemed ok and I had no impression that this company was scamming me. After weeks of phone and emails it came to the point where nobody would return calls or emails. Finally nobody would even answer the phone. That is when I searched for more info on this company and came across rip off report. I am so upset that I got taken. I never thought that something like this could happen to me. The company seemed completely legitimate.
According to other rip off reports this guy is in some hot water. I just wish I could get my money back.
