Software HQ
Unauthorized billing

Business & Finance

They lured me in by leading me to believe that the downloads were free, but then I was told that I would have to pay $19.95 for a membership. I was unable to immediately login to the website and get the software that I needed so I sent an email requesting a refund within minutes of placing my order, but Software HQ refused to refund my money and informed me that it was nonrefundable. I clicked on the box that said $19.95 for one month. I would have never purchased it if I would have known that it was over $50 (don't know the exact total because they didn't email me a receipt).

After I filled in my credit card information, approximately $50 flashed across the screen and then the screen was gone. I have no idea what I am paying for because their website states that it's $37.95 for six months, and my total was over $50. It said that membership is 100% guaranteed with 14-day money back policy. There was nothing about nonrefundable on the screen before I filled in my credit card information.

There is no way that I would use software from a company likes this, as it probably contains viruses. I called the bank this morning and put them on alert to this fraud. I will be filing a dispute with my bank the moment the charge clears. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, or whatever it takes to get my money refunded and hopefully help other people from being victims of this scam. I will pursue this to the full extent of the law.
