CPB Letter claiming bounced check

I obtained a notice within the email yesterday from CPB showing the notice obtained was a legitimate support to gather an outstanding debt of $148.00 to some pizza place in 2001. I did so contact the (888) quantity and talked to some guy who described that I owe income to get a returned check. I obviously had several concerns for him which he couldn't reply; just how much was the check writen for? What's the financial institution title about the check? Why have I never been informed just before this EASILY returned a check? He explained I'd need to visit my lender and have to get a backup of the check. I described I'm not really a person in that lender no being more than 7 years back. Or, must I need to do his leg-work. I inquired what reasoning can be used in the future up with $148? Their solution was late fees. Then he explained he'd consider my money quantity for $50.00 and clear the problem. I told him, "let you know what, you deliver me a duplicate of the intended check..." and he hung-up on me.

I've previously fifteen minutes, done research on CPB. Bad, can I include. I'll NOT be spending this stated amouont due.
