Free Credit Report.com is not free

My husband and I were thinking of buying a house. We decided that we wanted to check our own credit to see where we stood credit wise. We did the Free Credit Report from freecreditreport.com and to our amazement this credit report was not free at all. They ask for a credit card and when it was given they charged us for this so called free credit report. My husband called to cancall the account and all charges he was told it had been done. However the charges keep comming. We called and called and called. Cancelling over and over again. Well I just got off the phone with them of the 1000 time. They said that he couldnot cancell my account with them even if he knew the correct info and we were married (LOL and vice versa) and that they would not be reimbursing anything to our bank account that they had charged us for the past year!!! They had no record of us ever calling them!!! BS.

Hope this gets resolved soon. Don't fall in to the same trap I did
