View Point Bank
Fraudulent NSF Fees

Business & Finance

If you have a View Point account, I recommend closing it immediately.

This bank, on numerous occasions, has redone the order in which transactions appear on my statement so that a negative balance will be produced and an NSF will be generated.

The most recent example is this past week. At midnight on Friday my direct deposit paycheck came in. My online bank statment showed that it was there and was processing. The "Account Balance" field showed $120.24, while the "available balance" showed $976.35. I had a school payment to make of $205 that was due that day, so I went ahead and paid it around 8 AM.

The bank claims that "transactions posted to the account before 4PM will be computed that day." Nope. Apparently only debits are computed same day. My account went negative. Nsf. More negative. Nsf. More Negative. NSF.

This continued until MIDNIGHT ON MONDAY when my paycheck finally cleared. From the 976.35 "available balance" I now have $37.56. So now, I have to decide whether I want to pay for gas to get to work, or get food and not starve.

I do not know why it took so long for my paycheck to clear. It was direct deposit from Lowes which is a Fortune 50 company so it's not like there was any debate as to whether it was good or not. Also, previous deposits that had come in at midnight on friday showed as having been processed almost immediately, or atleast that's what I take it to mean when both the "Available" and "Account" balance figures are the same.
