You have ignored previous demands... Ooooooo, I so afraid... Ha!

So I get 2 letters from these crackpots, telling me that i bounced a check for $400 to a car dealership in Lake City FL.interesting thing is that while I have done business with this dealership, 1. It was in 2. I lived down the road from the place for a couple of years and 3. I don't even own the car I bought from them anymore (sold it a few years ago on a trade in for a new car).

Even better, while I did own the vehicle, I went to the dealer for regular oil changes and service!!! When i got the 1st scare letter, I wondered, because I honestly don't remember if I even had a down payment or if i did, how much it was. For giggles, i called the dealership and they were concerned because their business name was on this letter.

They don't even have any record of me anymore!!! Common sense would dictate that if i bounced a check with these folks, especially involving an automobile purchase, that they would do something about it prior to 6-7 years AFTER I'd supposedly done it??? I will not contact these people because if I want to be yelled at, abused and berated, i am sure someone locally can oblige. I don't need to go out of state for it. "chuckle"

These people are a bunch of thieves, liars and scam artists. Apparently they send out boilerplate letters to people hoping to scare them into parting with their money. If this were even legit, i would most certainly not pay them. I would pay the merchant directly.
