The United Funding Corp
Asked for payment in advance of loan - money sent - no loan - can't get through to them now

Business & Finance

We have fallen behind on our bills. We decided to go online & try to find a personal loan to help us catch up. We have bad credit because we both lost our jobs at the same time a couple years ago & lost everything.

I received a call from The United Funding Corp saying i was approved for my loan of $5000. I needed to send a down payment of $500 as a sign of good faith. They told me that the lender would purchase insurance in case i defaulted on my loan. It made sense.

I sent the money via Moneygram on saturday afternoon. I was told my funds would be deposited in my account on monday morning. What a relief, my nightmare was over! Monday morning arrived and no money. I called and was told since i submitted the paperwork late saturday afternoon, that my loan would be processed that day and the funds should be in my account the next day. Tuesday came & went without my funds.

Wednesday morning, i called again & was told that the lender had decided that i needed more of a down payment before my loan could be processed. I told them to forget it & refund my money. I was told a certified check would be mailed to me in three business days. I waited and received no check. I tried calling again but now i get a message saying the call cannot come through as dialed.
