Perfect Credit/Payment History not good enough! Finance charge upped from 7.99% to 25.08%

Upon yesterday's receipt of my Advanta Corp.'s business credit card statement I was shocked to read that my Finance Charge rate had inexplicably been increased from a consistent 7.99% to an unGodly rate of 25.08%.

Upon contacting customer service and one of its managers I was told that there are a number of reasons why this would happen. After presenting my points of view, supported by my awareness of excellent credit rating and payment history, the manager's emphasis for the main reason for this unfortunate event seemed to be "the economy" (maybe he should have added "stupid" to the reason because that's how I felt listening to this crock - stupid & duped!).

So, who's next. And, what's next???
