Wells Fargo Bank ATM
Instant $600 withdrawal

Business & Finance

Wells Fargo new atm machines have this feature where after you enter your password, it asks if you want to withdraw cash - I hit yes, and then right away it was this "Instant (convienent) $600"

It didn't even ask to confirm the withdrawal - all of a sudden it starts dumping out $20s.

I was wondering why it did this? Most people don't want $600 cash for pocket money.

Then it occured to me that they want people to overdraw their accounts probably and they want the fees.

Very preditory!

I also think its a crime risk becuase someone could stand behind you and demand that you hit that button.

There's no confirmation or anything - just dumps out the dough.

It was fine for me - I had the money in my account, but I know a lot of people don't have an extra $600 for this mistake that could cost them at least $30 overdraft.

I think its Wells Fargo looking for ways to rip off its customers...
