Fairbanks Capital aka Equicredit Rip-off Stealing my house Took account over June 02 & by Nov 02 said I was delinquent

Back in June Fairbanks Capital sent me a notice stating that they were taking over Equicredit Corporation of Wexford, PA. I have always paid my account monthly approx. The same time every month always received a statement. Once Fairbanks took over, I never received another statement.

I was late by one (1) week one time and they send me a notice. That is how I had their address to send my checks in. I wrote several times in regard to getting a statement and then when I received a foreclosure notice, I called.

They said since I had been bankrupt before (not with them though) they didn't send statements unless I faxed them a letter.

I did and started receiving my statement in Nov. 02. My statement showed that I had paid Sept and Oct (though I pay every month and should have been current). When I received my Dec 02 statement, it showed I owed Sept. Again???

The first time I called, a lady told me that they were still the same company but changed names and though I sent a payment every month, they were putting it against my interest and not my principle.

When I tried calling again, and left a message to contact me at home or work, I never got through...

I am going to my first mortgage company to see if they can help and will continue from there.

Any advice???
