Rip Off - Too good to be true, always is

I recently received a pre-approved invitation to apply for up to 10,000.00 dollars of credit through Union Workers Credit Services, with a low interest rate of 5% APR.
Suppossedly limited time offer, didn't matter if you were previously turned down by other Visa or Master card offers.
All you need to do is send them a check for $37.00 membership fee. They even have a credible looking website. Satisfaction is guaranteed and a 60 day refund of the money guaranteed.

I knew it was too good to be true when reading it, and the fact that it was sent standard mail was my first clue. Second, nowhere did it say they would be sending a visa/master card.

I work for the post office and am aware of the many scams going around via snail mail and email. This smacked of one of them. I was going to just throw it in the trash, but decided to research the company name on the internet. I obviously found it was a scam.
I have reported it on the postal inspectors site, http://postalinspectors. Uspis. Gov / and am now doing so here.
I urge anyone who has been stung by this scam or received the same invitation to do the same. Also send the info to your state and federal representatives and tell them you want them to investigate it.
