Equity One Financial, Inc. Total Rip-Off! Absolute SCAM!

I was told I had been successfully approved for $6,000.00. I was so elated because I had so many rejections prior to this approval. Due to Identity Fraud my credit report is inaccurate which makes it impossible to get any kind of loan. I realize I was taking a chance on this scam but I thought somehow this may be legit because of the source. However, when I was informed I had to pay in advance 6 months up front on the loan in order to secure the loan and the fee had to be sent by MoneyGram I became very suspicious.

I was told I had to pay up front because my credit score was so low. However, this did not deter me from sending $715.00 plus the $45.00 money gram fee. The loan consultant I was working with was Anthony Vermont. Apparently Money gram was having a problem giving him the money because he phoned me the day I sent the money to ask me to give money gram a call to confirm that I indeed sent this money to a David Smith in Chicago, Ill. After he received the money he called me back to reassure me the transaction had been completed and I would receive the loan proceeds by overnight express (this was my preference for a check to be sent to me instead of direct deposit) the next day. Of course this did not happen.

Moral: Be Extremely Careful when Applying for Loans Online! These people have all your personal information including where you live. Who knows where this information may end up? Never agree to any kind of loan that requires an upfront fee.
