Fairbanks Capital Corp
Slow Contract Handling and Short Deadline Buying a Repossessed Home

Business & Finance

I was just looking up the phone number of Fairbanks Capital because I need to rip them apart, when I stumbled on this web page.

This will be very useful if I need to take them to court which I'm prepared to do. I have already contacted my attorney and he is eagerly waiting to make some money off these clowns.

My story... I'm a real estate agent in Maryland and also own a investment company which purchases repo homes. One of which is owned by Fairbanks.

I have been trying to purchase this home for the last 2 months now with no success. It took Fairbanks almost a month to except my offer (which they forced me to bid $8,000 OVER the listed price. How they did that is another scam.

When everything was said and done it took them another two weeks to get me the signed contract back. Then said that I had 10 days to get my loan processed.

Well, that's not going to happen! We have a extremely high credit score with $500,000 in surplus which makes an easy loan, but we still couldn't get it done in that amount of time and we refuse to pay cash!

This home has been sitting for over a year and had three other contracts fall through and they won't even give us 11 more days to settle.

They said that they are going to let it go back onto the market. The reason we are losing some time is because of Christmas.

The mortgage company is closed for a week. Fairbanks wants us to pick another mortgage company that works through the holidays! The scrooges!

There is a lot more to this but I must make it short. Who knows, my lawyer may make more $. (He's Good:)...
