'loan agency' rips off an active duty military couple who wants to go spend time with family... One of whom was givin 6 months to live from his doctors after being diagnosed with terminal cance

I am writing this letter hoping that maybe someone can point me in a direction that I can be helped.

My husband I are both acitve duty military and we are both stationed in Ft Riley, KS. After the injuries he recieved in his second tour to Iraq, he was sent home to get better, and then to find out he has cancer. Unfortunately, it is terminal and they have only given him 6 month so we do what we can to be happy and healthy while we still can.

Recently we decided to try and take out a loan. I went online to try to find somewhere we could use (neither of us has the best of credit so it has been a long process). I found a company, LPD Resources, (Emily Harris specificaly) and after a 2 week trail of paperwork, and talking, we decided to go for it. All we were suposed to do was make an initial insurance deposit (totaling $809) and withing 3 business days we would recive an electonic deposit of $8000.

OK, so me and my husband are a young couple, and maybe it was stupid, but we needed the money. He wants to go home to see his daughter before he dies. We moved 4 days ago to a handicap accessible home on base and decided we needed (and deserved) new furnishings. We both need to get our cars fixed before we take the trip to Florida so he can spend his time with his family before he is to weak to travel.

This company (after we made the deposit) has decided that they dont like my credit report (even though they did one before I made the deposit) and that I have to make an additional $750 deposit or we will not get the loan. Its 2 weeks til pay day and we have $80 to last us both til then. We dont have money for groceries right now much less that, so I told her to forget it and that I wanted my money back.

Now they are telling me that they will make a request for it but that IF I get the money back it will take 30 days. We sent her the the money on Tuesday for the deposit and now we are broke for 2 weeks because we were dumb enough to trust her.

I have re-read my contract and from what I am reading, SHE has broken the agreement I signed. I dont know what to do. We put our paychecks into this so we could get something better and now we are going to have to struggle until 01 August.
