Child Support Payment Information

Hello my name is Jessica Lewis and I am filing a written complaint against the nys child support processing center.in 1996 I had applied for child support due to the fact of the non custodial parents neglect. The judge rendered that the respondents obligation would be to pay 43 dollars a week. His arrears was set at 2,052. From 1996 until the year the respondent was non compliant in which he never paid the petitioned amount or he would pay what he wanted to pay. The arrears
which was first set out to be 2,052 almost accumulated to 10,000 in back arrears which was owed to me for non compliance of the said petition.in December I had applied for public assistance in which I held for one year. During that time, the respondent was still not in compliance with the child support order. However, the arrears had accrued to the amount of 8,000 almost reaching 10,000. ON June 4th the respondents taxes were intercepted in the amount of 2861 and 684. Totaling the amount of 3545. The Department of Social Services received the respondents taxes due to my temporary assistance grant given provided to me in 06. However, the back arrears that was 7000 and above still remained there up until June 4th. Not only was the Dept of Social Service satisfied but the child support collections unit was also satisfied by depleting an additional three thousand dollars from my back arrears owed to me from the respondent. The respondents taxes were intercepted and I had an amount of 7000 and above in back arrears in my account. DSS received there portion due to the respondents taxes, why was my arrears owed to me by the respondent also depleted. I spoke with
a Supervisor by the name of Cliff from the child support agency who became irate, cocky and talked very fast in which I could not understand his explanation of the missing 3000 from my account. He then informed me
to contact DSS directly in which I spoke with a Marvin Geters who stated that there was some type of error and that he would investigate the matter further. He stated, " the amount of 3545 that was received from
the respondents taxes should not have any effect on the back arrears that was a total of 7000 and above even though the respondents taxes were depleted. Prior to speaking with Cliff, I spoke to two representatives about the 3545 amount posted to my account. They told me
that the DSS was only entitled to the amount of 243.50 and that the 3,302 would be reimbursed to me. They stated that I were to call on June 30th to confirm who would reimburse me. Whether it would the child support collections agency or DSS themselves. I called and got a
complete different story and was also a victim of fraud by them depleting an additional three thousand dollars from my account. My identity is at risk and I am very uncomfortable about my information. When an individual calls in the child support help desk which is 18882084485 they are required to give out there social security number, date of birth, address and full name. Someone depleted 3000 out of my back arrears and I want answers and I want justice.

PS I was misled into believing that child support assisted children. I never knew child support stole from children as well... Thanking you in advance...
