Free stuff for a price

Several of my credit cards recently sent forms for "free stuff" for your points. I mailed them all on the same day, some of my "free gifts" have already arrived. I also received a bill from Synapse Solutions for $149.73 because they received my "order" without a credit card number. They asked for the credit card number or a check before they would send me my "free stuff".

There is no listing on the internet for this company in Utah, but there is one for the same name company in Connectict that does the same thing.

If this is not a rip off... What is?
