Countrywide Home Loans
Countrywide Home Loans Trouble

Business & Finance

I am writing in hopes that someone can give us a suggestion. We have had our home mortgage for 11 years and only had one late payment prior to this year.

We asked Countrywide to modify our loan, extend the length of the loan to lower our monthly payments because our income has been reduced by 50%. After a lengthly phone conversation which took forever to get through, we were told to fax numerous documents within a 48 hour period. We called 9 weeks later and were told by someone else to do it all over again! Does the right hand know what the left hand is doing? Ten weeks later we received a denial letter. Plus, we cannot even use their website to communicate or make payments. We tried to call but an automated message tells us all reps. Are busy and to call back. Don't even give the option of holding!

We can get no help form Countrywide, we can't even communicate with them. There is nothing more we want than to establish a relationship with this mortgae holder, but apparently Countrywide is not insterested.

Has anyone found any help form the outside in dealing with this monster?

I begged Countrywide for 2 years to help me lower my payment ($3,300.) NO! I used all my retirement $ and then it still went to short-sale. I lost it anyway
