Regina from Countrywide offered me a credit of $685 at closing but declined it at the end

During my home loan search I came across two lenders. One was Countrywide and another local lender in Richmond, VA. Regina, the agent from Countrywide knew exactly what to do to earn my business. The moment I told her that I was getting a $300 credit from the other lender she told me that she can give me a credit of $685. At that time she knew exactly what I was looking for (save more money) and threw the perfect bait to catch me. I should have known. Hah!!! $685 back, how in sweet Heaven could anyone fall for such a trap!? But I did and she benefitted handsomely. Then she had everything planned and made up the perfect holes where to fit the $685 and in the end told me that it was adjusted. She told me that FHA requires that I pay certain amount of dollars and hence there was no place for the credit. If she would have given me the credit then I would have fallen short of the total required for the FHA loan at closing. She put your knowledge of the lending business to the best use. It could not be better.
