Herongate Financial Group
Matt Hughes advance fee scam. Put 3 or 4 monthly payments to secure loan

Business & Finance

I was contacted by Matt Hughes from Herongate Financial on 06/19/08. He offered me a $10,000 loan. The terms of the loan was a 7% interest for 4 years and the payment would be $239.46 per month. Sounds great so far right! In order to secure the debt they wanted and initial up front payment of 4 months $957.84 which would be applied towards the loan. They would then release the loan via direct deposit within 24 hours.

I contacted The Minnesota department of Banking and chambers of commerce and the BBB and this company does not have a license nor are they registered with the BBB.

I contacted the CT department of Banking as well.in order for any company to offer loans or mortgages the have to be licensed in the state they are offering the loan. Beware!
