Cornerstone Community Financial Credit Union in Auburn Hills, MI, sounds so nice, almost "biblical, " doesn't it? Well don't let the name fool you — there is nothing pleasant about dealing with this institution whatsoever!

We got a bill for $5.00 from this credit union because we got a new address. Five bucks is not a lot of money, but that's not the point. One would think that a very routine thing like changing an address when necessary would be part of the services offered by a bank or credit union.

If it is so difficult and time consuming for employees to change two short lines in an address that they have to charge $5.00, then I guess that tells you something. If they find a few simple keystrokes so onerous, would you really want them dealing with your money?
