Settle offer for a bell atlantic/verizon bill

I obtained a notice from afni inc. Saying I'd a statement from a merchant account in nyc ten years ago. I never existed in new york or understood anybody in NY... They appeared to understand my soc. Sec. Quantity and asked me to confirm that and my drivers permit quantity (which being truly a trustworthy individual i gave them)... I just goggled them to locate that lots of people appeared to have obtained these characters and that Iam worried they may be a fraud and today have my information. Is there something I will do to safeguard myself? They stated to become sending me a bundle that I've to complete to convince them i never existed in NY and didnot create the consideration they claim i didnot spend... Please enable me to understand what I will do today to safeguard myself.
