Does everything in their power to hit you with Over draft fees. Not like any other bank

Capital One Banking is not what I would call a customer friendly bank, they do everything they possibly can to get their fees. Worst example was I made a payroll deposit and it posted immediately. I went to Target and used my debit card to pay for the items. Capital One then took the check back and said that it did not post till the next day and now I had a overdraft charge. This is technically impossible because you cannot use a debit card if the funds are not available with them. I even asked that direct question to the banker and they said it is not possible, but they still wouldn't refund the money. Another example is that the wife has direct deposit that posts every other Thursday. On a Wednesday night we went out to eat because a couple of checks hadn't cleared yet so we knew that the deposit would cover it. I check the account on-line at 6am the next day and all is good. At noon I have 2 overdrafts because they posted two checks for the day before. I tried to see the logic in how that worked but they just said there is nothing they can do. So in short I am not sure if they are breaking any laws, probably not, but they sure will go out of there way to take every little penny you have.
