Scam, do not send this company any money, you will never get your money!

On 5/5/08 I went on line looking for a lender who would give me a personal loan (I have bad credit). To my surprise, on 5/6/08 I received a message on my voicemail from a Chris Davidson with Highland Lending Services informing me that I had been approved and that I needed to contact him back at 888-265-0057 x164 and to make sure that I had a fax number to give to him where he could fax the loan documents to.

First of all, his number was blocked and it came up as UNAVAILABLE ID on my caller ID. When I tried to contact him back I got a recording stating that I had reached Highland Lending Services and if I knew the extension of the person I was trying to reach to enter it now and I did. Then it asked who was calling so I had to state my name. Then a recording came on and stated that I could leave a message for the individual I was trying to reach and I did along with the fax number that he could fax the documents to. He then called me back and left me another message, CONCERNED FOR MY PERSONAL WELL BEING, since I had asked him to fax the documents to a fax machine at work. I then contacted him back and informed him that it would be ok as long as I received them before my shift ended.

When I received the documents, it showed that I was approved for a $5000.00 personal loan at 6% for 36 months. The only collateral that they needed was the 1st 6 months up from totalling $911.64 and that my next payment would not be due until 12/08. My payments would then be $151.94. I knew this was way to good to be true because my credit score is at 468. So i decided to go the the Better Business Bureau website to inquire about this company.

Here is what I found out, they are not an accredited company and there has been 0 complaints filed in the past 36 months. Then I tried to do a search on them on Yahoo and nothing would come up. So this morning I did a search on GOOGLE and that is when I found two other complaints filed on consumer complaints. I am sorry that those two individuals were actual victims of these people. I am sure that I am not safe, they have my personal information, not banking info that I am aware of though. HIGHLAND LENDING SERVICES is not a reputable company. Please do not fall into their SCAMS! If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
