Wamu without any warning raised APR from 15% to 24% without any reason

I have Wamu credit card since 1999 and have always been happy with their service. The rate hovers around 13-15%. Suddenly it jumped to 24% without any reason, and their representatives could not give any reason. They said that it could be internal or external. My payment has always been above the minimum and always before the due date. My Fico score is at its highest. There was no internal or external reason.
It is really a shame that by this action they completely ruined the trust that they built with their customers over the years.
