Rip Off

We have been with Vanderbilt Mortgage for 10 Years, our payment is 267.00 per month each month for the past 4 years we have been sending 467.00 to pay down the principal. Even after writing on each check apply overage to principal. They stick the money in an "overage account" Our principal has not gone down at all.

When we called to inquire they state there is nothing they can do. So we asked for a payment history (that they charged us for) and all it showed was the exact amount of the payment due, no mention of the extra money we sent or where it was applied. We called again and asked for a detailed Payment History we were told it would cost another $25.00 which they have charged us for and we still have not received it 3 months later.
I have all my bank statements showing each payment and they still wont do anything to help to correct their mistake.

Our payment is due on the 11th of each month, We send our payment out on the 8th of each month. If the payment is not in there hands by the end of the day on the 11th they are calling you every couple of hours on the 12th. It's ridiculous, how they are still in business is beyond me. I will never recommend this Mortgage Company to anyone. They are cheats and I have gone ahead and contacted a lawyer.
