Debited Bank Account Without Authorization

I checked my bank account this evening on-line and found that $130 was debited from my account. The merchant information was "The Loanshp/Westbury" and the phone number listed is 800-859-6439. I do not know anything about this company, have never done business with them nor did I authorize these funds to be debited from my account.

I called my bank to report the fraudulent transaction and will investigate this action and I should get my money back in 5-7 business days.

In the meantime, I checked with the National Better Business Bureau by typing in the telephone number, then 4 separate listings appeared with the same phone number.

The reports for 3 of the 4 businesses have "unsatisfactory records" with some unresolved complaints.

My next step will be to file a formal complaint with the National Better Business Bureau and the Division of Financial Responsibility in each of the states as well as my own.

I am tired of companies that are underhanded and unethical in the way they conduct business, so maybe my formal complaints, and yours will urge them to correct of their conduct.
