They contacted me telling me I was approved for a $5k Loan. They wanted $983 first! Fort Lauderdale Florida

Business & Finance

James Easton, of Liberty Mutual Investment Group contacted me with the same story as everyone else here. Mr. Easton stated he was a lending broker. He said I was approved for $5000 @ 6% and I would not have to pay until November. He also said I would pay $117 a month for 4 years. I never applied for a loan with them. I did apply to CitiBank and both Citi and Liberty contacted me on the same day! Mr. Easton said he would fax me the contract tomorrow if he indeed sends it. I'll post their contact info here when I get it. Who would trade $1000 for $5000?

I became very suspicious when he described his company as a "Private" lender. I became very suspicious when he described his company as a "Private" lender. He asked if I had any outstanding debts. I gave him a figure, there was a momentry pause and then he said that showed I had "discharged some debts" which is funny considering I have not filed for bankruptcy. I hope the feds catch up with this guy real soon. Their website has been removed my their web host Manta. It says "The company listing you were looking for may have moved..."
