Ripoff consumer rip-off fraud

Peoples Credit First sent me an offer for a credit card in the mail. It stated I was preapproved for a 5K credit card. It required a check in the amount of $49.00 to expediate receiving the card. I got suspicious when I never received anything back. I called my bank and they deposited my check on Sept. 17. One month has passed. I have requested copies of the front and back of check from my bank. They said it was deposited into a Bank of America account. I want the $49.00 back and I am going to take all legal steps in order to do so as this was clearly a scam. Since there was no phone number listed I checked the internet and lo' and behold I found this page.
