Extorsion conman moves to new town

Mr. Neasham asked me to do a loan for him two years ago when he lived in Granite Bay, CA and operated a business called Neasham Financial in Citrus Heights, CA. (he has since moved to Clear Lake and moved out of this town).

Up on our first meeting Neasham told me about "The last loan guy" and how he threatened to publish negative remarks about the this guy's loan business if he did not agree to do the loan for free (Neasham had owned two newspapers, both failed miserably and he sold them). According to Neasham, the fellow not only gave him a "Below market" rate of 4.5% (I saw the note) he also paid all the closing costs... Essentially giving Neasham the nearly $15,000 in money and equity.

I should have left right there... But foolishly I did a loan for Neasham and lived to regret it. Not only did Neasham demand thousands of dollars from me, he threatened to get a lawyer, report me to my broker and to the State of California, DRE., which he did in fact do after numerous threats and hounding me and my broker night and day.

Several months later I was vindicated my the State of California. Neasham had worked for my broker so he already knew what a hothead he is... And other than one letter from his attorney, I never heard from him again as well.

It was revealed later that Neasham was flat broke when he did the loan, and therefore desperate for funds. This did not seem likely as he lived in a $1.3mm home and drove a Escalade... Non the less... Flat broke. He gladly acccepted the loan and the terms... Which included a prepayment penalty. He abruptly moved in less than two months, then tried to extort the prepayment fee from me. I refused to pay... Neasham called day and night... Whining, complaining, threatening... Still... I would not pay.

No I read in this forum that Neasham is threatening other people... My advice to you all... Do not deal with Neasham, do not pay and do not talk to him (and what ever you do... Don't give him your telephone number).
