I had a best buy account and stopped paying on it when i was told i could go to the store and make a payment that was due in 2 days. I wnt to the store which was 75 miles away the told me the dont accept payments at the store. Which made my payment late by sending it in and they charged me a late fee which made it go over limit and the charged me a overlimit fee. They refused to take them off so i refused to pay that was about 4 years ago. I have recieved numerous bills for the account from about 15 different agencies so who do i pay? Finally last year i recieved a letter from the city of waterown court asking for a reply in the matter. I replied with copies of the letter i had recieved from all the other agencies and havent heard anything since. Then i get a letter from walpoff&abramson saying that there as a judgement. The next day a checking account i share with my father that i actually have not used in over 5 years but he uses it and deposits my handicapped brothers social security check in the took his money. That is just the tip of it. Walpoff&abramson filed in court that the paperwork was served to a 50 yrold male in the household. But there is not anyone in the house that recieved it and the process server that works for them lied in court papers and said it was hand delivered but was not. I was never notified of a judgement from the court either. They operate a pretty sleazy firm.
