I would call it deception by the sales rep. I was emailed the application pages to be signed to do phone credit card transactions... No equipment leased. These were NO terms pages sent with the application. I copied all the application pages that I signed prior to sending them back to he sales rep.

After using the service for perhaps 4 of the 8 months. And getting charges 70-80/mo for months while I had no transactions I decided that the service didnt make financial sense any more. We are a very small business of one person.

I called Transfirst and spoke with some very friendly customer service people and asked to cancel. To which I was told I had a 3 year contract.

I reviewed my paperwork and didnt see anything about a 3 year contact. They were nice enough to fax me the 20 page contract WITH all the terms.

They also informed me that to cancel now would cost me $1800.00 since or monthly billing was 70-80/mo.

What actions can I take to get out of this ugly situation?
