Debt Collection phone scam

I received a call from this company who had my maiden name and an address in a different state. They had my SS# and my current cell phone number. When I questioned how he found my cell number he claimed that it is part of the research. He demanded that I give him my current name and Irefused telling them that he had my name right... Using my maiden name and told him if they are so smart to figure it out. The man was so rude that I ended up yelling at him on the phone and demanding to talk to someone else. The supervisor was such a "great" guy, apologizing for the first agents behavior. They claimed that I had a balance on a Sears Mastercard in the amount of $270. He couldn't tell me when the charges took place. I told him that for all I know it was identity theft and that if he couldn't give me more definitive information or answer more of my questions that I was not going to assume responsibility for the charges. Of course, he informed me that he was just trying to help me save my credit rating and that this was charged off November. I told him that I had a hard time believing that if I was truly deliquent with Sears that this would be the first time that I would have heard something from them. I told them to never call my numbert again and that I would be filing a report with the BBB against both of the agents (supposed).
