Lowest Of The Low Sleazeballs Trying to collect bogus debt from someone dead over 20 years!

Got a call on my answereing machine asking for my father (different name and he's been dead over twenty years). Computer call asks you to state if you are not him, but of course an answering machine cannot do that so they proceed to confirm that they have reached the correct party. Claim it is an effort to collect a debt, which is pretty funny since my father was religious in paying his bills and didn't owe anyone a single penny when he died.

Obviously this is the telephone equivalent of internet "phishing". They blanket an area for anyone with a name similar to their target and hope to get lucky by hitting the right one. Problem is tne nuissance and inconvenience for the thousands of others who have nothing to do with any of this.

Telephone sales calls were reigned in by the local and national "do not call" registries. There should be a similar application of penalties in these cases as they are just as random, bothersome and borderline illegal as any sales call I ever got.
