Two mortgage payments in november would not return the overpayment

My mortgage payment is 950.00 a month they had a payment on the first olso another on the second i called them to return one payment. My wife is taking cancer treatments at the present time i needed the money to buy the milk for feeding her thru the tube in her stomack taking radiation treatments takes away your taste. I called and begged them to please return the overpayment they refused. I am 73 years old and on social security thats what we live on i dont have money to buy groceries wellsfargo could care less.
