Gryphon Financial
Inexplicably halted Emails of Stock Rec's, Refused Cancellation of Services, Intimidation to Obtain Funds under False Pretenses

Business & Finance

I received an email for a Once-In-A-Lifetime Offer to enroll in their Network Subscription Service at the unheard of price of only $89.00 for two years. I immediately called and spoke with Mr. Michael Warren, one of the principles of the firm, and signed up. I asked him to please send me a copy of the credit card transaction, which he never did. The email notifications started soon thereafter.

Like others who wrote, I traded many of the stock recommendations and lost money on almost all of them. I believe only one stock had a winning trade. All the others were losers and some bigger than others. After about 3 weeks the emails suddenly stopped coming. I called and spoke with one of the people assigned to answer the phone. She assured me she would look into this and have someone get back to me. Of course that never happened. Another week went by and the same procedure. I called and then emailed the firm to complain that the email notifications were not being sent to me. No one ever returned the call or responded to the emails.

Several weeks went by and I sent about 7 emails and called about 8 times. No solution was forthcoming and no one bothered to assist me. At that time I called the credit card company and asked them what recourse I had. They informed me that they would send me a form to complete and once that was done they would investigate and get back to me.

I did this and eventually received a credit for my payment to Gryphon Financial. All of a sudden now, the firm decides to call me and complain why I ended my subscription. I explained that for the first 3 weeks they did send emails, but for the last 3 months they did not and therefore did not live up to their obligation of providing me the service that I had paid for. I was very disappointed in them.

They insisted that the information was also posted on the website. That was completely false at the time that I was in contact with them. There was only general information on their website and there were no specific trades shown for members. I told them that but they would not listen.

To make matters worse, they had a para-legal call me several weeks ago threatening that if I did not resubmit my application, they would send this matter to a lawyer. I could not believe what I was hearing. She also explained that I would have to pay $25.00 for the lawyer firms fee for handling the resubmission.

I have now received a letter from their law firm stating that I owe them for the initial subscription PLUS the $25.00 fee for their troubles.

This firm has shown a complete and utter disregard for personal investors. This is a scheme to obtain your money under the pretense that they will offer you stock and option advice and then after a few weeks they pull the plug and stop sending this. Buyer Beware.
