Mailed me notice for a debt not mine with a totally wrong social security numbe

I received a notice of debt collection from this agency, RJM Acquisitions Funding L.L.C. That I owe $126.30 to the original creditor Fingerhut.

I knew this was wrong immediately since I ordered from Fingerhut over two decades ago and that order was paid in full. Also the social security number they had attached to my name was totally wrong.

They gave me three options to pay (so nice of them) or request verification within thirty days for the debt.

Well, I wrote to dispute the debt and request verification. I also stated in my letter that they have thirty to prove this debt valid or correct their records. If they do not, I am going to the Attorney General's office and reporting them for investigation and I will investigate their so called New York City License.

I further stated if they incorrectly report anything on my credit report I will take legal action against them (and probably enjoy it). If they don't answer me in thirty days, they are dead meat.
