This Card account has been sold 4 times this was a stolen cc and there is a police report

This is reference to an Associates cc that was mailed to my son a college student with no income. Who did the credit card company think would pay for this???
There was 500 dollars charged on this card and yes I had the intentions of paying this. It bought some school supplies for my son who was leaving missouri to go to school in Alabama. This was early August. Again there was never more than 500 dollars on this card. The credit limit on the card would not allow it.

On August 30 I was beaten and robbed on my way to work. I filed a police report. I called the credit card company and so did my son. We were told they would send a replacement cc and that never happened. My son received a call that evening that two young women were attempting to use this credit card to buy booze. Because there was never an accounting that some of the charges on the credit card may not have been mine I have not paid it.

Now this man who says he has bought the credit card wants 1016.79 in principal and 1351.41 in interest. The principal has never been 1016.79. The principal was 500.00. If he was sold a bill of goods it is not my fault. This is a stolen card and never more than 500 dollars has ever been charged on this card.
