Ripoff Lies Promises More Lies

On July 1 I received a phone solicitation from Capital First Credit Card for a $2,500 unsecured Mastercard with -0- interest for a flat annual fee of $99.95. This sounded too good to be true, but when I was assured that I would have 7 days after receiving the package to decide whether to keep or cancel I accepted.

I authorized a bank check of $29.95 shipping and also authorized bank withdrawals of $99.95 and $59.95 (one time fee) that I was again assurred would not be used until 7 days after I received the package. The $29.95 check was processed on July 3 and $99.95 and $59.95 were withdrawn on July 23. I had only enough money in my account at that time to cover outstanding checks so THREE bounced causing $60 bank fees plus the embarrassment from my legitimate payees. The package did not arrive until the NEXT day, July 24.

When I wrote and to protest I received no answer. My phone calls were passed around until finally I was told on August 27 that I would receive a refund of $219.90 for the $95.95, $59.95
and $60 NSF charges within 3 to 5 business days. I was satisfied, although thought the $29.95 should also be returned.

I have not received the promised refund as of today, Sept 10
so called again today. I was passed around again and told that my account was no longer handled by them since I had closed it and 'someone' from Corporate would call me within 72 hours.

This is another THREE days and if they call I will probably not be sitting home waiting by the phone. They would give me NO number that I might call.

This is a ripoff... Lies... Promises... More lies!!!
