Called to offer a credit card

Someone called to offer me a credit card. I told them I was not interested and don't call back.

I decided to call back the number to see if it was ligit. It sounds ligit, but then the representative answered the phone "hello".in the business world, no one answers the phone that way. Then the representative asked for my date of birth and social security number, I knew this had to be a scam. Don't ever give this information out unless you make initial contact with a company!

When I told him that "if I have been pre-approved you should already have that information; what other questions will you be asking me?" The representative said "none" and hung up.

Beware of this company!!
