Omni Credit Services rude collections threatening please help!

Omni Credit Services bought my Macys card account awhile back. I paid half of it off a couple months ago, and Ive tried to pay the other half off, but because of some financial difficulties, its been extremely difficult. Now I get a call from them saying that "if I dont pay the remaining amount by the end of the day today, then I will need to get an attorney".

I told him that I would be able to get the rest of the money by next friday, but he said its too late, he needs it by 4:30 pm est. Or else I would need to get a lawyer. Is there ANYTHING I can do to prevent this? It seems like that they are no longer willing to work with me. But Im thinking this may just be a threat to make me pay off the debt today. Someone please help. What can I do?
