Deception, raising interest rate with undue cause

Regarding the (Orchard) HSBC... The same thing happened to me, became a customer in paid the minimum monthly payments or greater with an excellent payment history, and BOOM, then comes the Notice of Change in Terms..."... Based on information we received from credit reporting agency"... Blah blah blah.

Who asked them to check my Credit report? I didn't! What right do they have to change terms based on "what if"??? In the normal business world, if you have a Good Paying Customer, do you go seek out negative information on them to penalize and hit them with higher rates for service? NOOOO you don't! And why should they get away with it? I can understand them checking my credit at the time I applied for it, and I could understand them checking it if I wasn't paying as agreed, but this???

What kind of deception is this? They wait until you are sucked in, then hit you with this outrageous change. My current APR was fixed at 13.4% for credit, and 25% for cash advances. Now... It's being changed to a VARIABLE APR which is 28.99%!

The laws must be changed, people are being ruined!!! It seems always those who are already struggling get hit the hardest too. I filed a report with the Nevada Attorney Generals Office and the Florida Attorney Generals Office today! Enough is enough.
