Uncooperative with Law Enforcement, Don't Care About Identity Theft

Recently, I was a victim of Identity Theft. An individual in South Florida was applying for numerous credit cards on-line and having them sent to their house. One of the credit companies was First Premier Bank.

Because of this, my credit has gone down the drain and repairing it due to ID Theft is not easy. Anyone who has never been a victim of ID Theft has no idea what I am going through right now.

I filed a police report. The police are doing everything they can to track down the suspect. To do so, they are sending subpoenas to every bank in which a credit card was applied for. The applications include IP addresses, phone numbers, etc to help pin-point a suspect. Of the 13 credit companies subpoenaed, First Premier Bank was the ONLY one to not cooperate. Apparently they are not required by law to cooperate if the law enforcement agency sending the subpoena is not actually in South Dakota.

First of all, what the hell kind of law is that? But beside that, why would a credit provider not want to cooperate in a criminal investigation? My identity was stolen and they refuse to give the police pertinent information to the investigation. What's worse, they even refuse to give ME the information, and it's my name and social security number on the application. I am in complete awe that in this day and age where ID Theft is becoming such a big deal, that First Premier would just allow it to happen.

Obviously this company has no morals. Twelve other banks cared enough to comply, but First Premier didn't.

First Premier Bank never had my business in the past and it certainly will never have it in the future.
