Billing changes after policy paid in full ripoff

I purchased a homeowners policy from Liberty mutual 9/30 when I closed on my first home. The salesman I spoke with quoted me $694.00. Thinking I had a great deal since I got the discount through my credit union, I paid for the policy and that was that or so I thought. Around March ur April of this year, I started receiving bills from Liberty Mutual requesting payment on a policy at an old address I no longer lived at since purchasing the homeowners policy.

I called Liberty to inform them of this mistake and was told that it would be corrected. I kept receiving these notices until finally I received a check for $18.00 (thinking I had overpaid) which I cashed. Next thing I know I'm receiving a letter from my lender informing me that my policy had been canceled. I called Liberty Mutual and was told that since I never faxed in proof of home renovations the discount I'd received had be revoked. I never told anyone that I renovated the home and had no idea or proof (except some minor repairs made to the roof) of what the previous owners did prior to moving there. I told them I had proof of the roof repairs and was given a fax number which turned out to be wrong.

After that I have spoken with no less than 4 people each telling me they would be happy to reinstate my policy if I pay the fee ranging from $296 to $310. The latest thing I have been told about the policy change is that I was charged the additional $296 because the year the home was built has changed? Wtf? I am still arguing back and forth with them about this payment. DO NOT do business with this company as they seem intent on changing prices at will and after the policy has suppossedly been purchased!
