Ripoff trying to collect from an account that never was hello

I was sent a collection letter with the name spelled all wrong, from an account that never existed, and is 8 yrs. Old. The original creditor is fingerhut/maplestreet merchant/axsys bnk. Ihave reports from all credit agencies from it does not appear
