AMC Mortgage - Safeco Insurance
Adding extra escrow to pad their wallets Ripoff

Amc Mortgage paid our taxes early and set up escrow account in the tune of $960.00 extra a month. After we paid off the amount they purchased insurance from Safeco when we already had full coverage. Their insurance cost 4500. And ours only cost 1300. For a full year. They set it up in escrow for an extra 900. A month. When called, customer service just gives me the run around. Our house payment started out at 1200. A month and now is 2400. A month. I have hired an attorney. I realize they are trying to get us to default and foreclose on us. We have been 30 days late when they refused to except a payment and sent us intent to foreclose letters. Safeco is in on the fun.

We proved to the insurance company and Amc that we had full coverage ins. And they were not willing to close the extra escrow. The purchased us ins. From Safeco and did not notify us until 3 months later. The letter we received stated our ins. Went into effect in March and our letter was dated July. We can not continue to pay an extra 960. A month. We will not be taken advantage of. If anyone has had similiar problems with these companies let me know. I know we are not the only ones out there in desperate need of relief.
