Ripoff of college student now not able to pay for school and late on bills

Hi my name is Sherroi caffey and before around April 18th of this year being 2002 I was contacted numerous times by a company calling themselves First Capital Consumers.

They told me that I had qualified for (2) two credit cards that would take 3-5 business days to receive. One was for 2000.00 and the other was for 2500.00.

They were to be a visa and mastercard. I informed them after several calls that I was interested and wanted to get the cards however I would be sending my bill money for that month to cover the initial charges and that it was very important that I receive those cards in the time that they had set to allow me to pay for my bills and school.

On or around April 18 299.00 was debited from my account and I sat and waited. After a few weeks went by I tried calling the number that they had listed and I left message after message but no return phone call. Around May 16th I received a big white envelope containing a benifits package from First Capital Consumers.

In it contained an authorization card that i had to mail to them and information about the benifits I was to receive with my card. They also told me that I would receive a "free" cell phone as an incentive for mailing my stuff off on time.

I in turn mailed off the authorization card with a note enclosed telling the company that my money was debited a month ago and I would like my card fedex and I would pay the cost if necessary. I told them that because of their failure to provide me my cards in the time alloted by bills were turned off and I was unable to attend school due to lack of finances.

Here it is August 23 and I haven't heard from them or seen any mail. I am disguised with this company and had decided to let it go until I received another "hey your pre-approved card in the mail" and decided to take action. I just hate that so much time has gone by and now my account is closed and I have moved. However I do have another account that the money can be put in. It is my savings account and I will give you a number to call me so i can give that to you. It is 256-551-0333.

That is the number to my mother's office who is an Attorney herself. Please give me a call as that will let me know that even this isn't fake. I know it might not but you have to understand I don't know if I will ever be able to trust anything said over the phone or internet.
