Wells Fargo Screwed up all 3 of my accounts! An On-Going Battle!

My fiance and I moved to Nevada last year. Prior to that, we had never heard of Wells Fargo, so we had no idea that they were so horrible. We first got a checking account with them, which recently became one big problem. About 6 months ago, we took a loan out on my car to pay off our credit cards. This has recently turned out to be a disaster. And 3 months ago, my fiance bought a car, which we later found out that Wells Fargo was the lender. This was bad news!!!

Starting with my checking account: In May, my fiance and I decided to do Credit Counceling to get us back on track with out debt. When we signed up for Credit Counceling, I decided to cancel my overdraft protection through our credit card and add it to our savings. (Checking-savings instead of Checking-Credit Card) because our credit card would be inactive. I spoke to a man in May, and had him change my overdraft.

This past month, I checked my account and had 10 overdraft charges for $34 a piece. There was clearly enough money in the savings to cover, so there was no reason to be charged ocerdraft fees. I contacted Wells Fargo and they told me that I had no overdraft protection. She said they could not help me because I "supposably" added overdraft protection. Supposably!!!

Eventually after fighting, I got someone to transfer me to a manager (usually they hang up when I ask to speak to a manager). He had no idea what was going on in the world. It took me an hour of explaining the same thing over and over. Finally he took the 10 fees off and set up overdraft protection again. He told me by the end of the day, it would be taken care of.

The next day, I checked my account and there were 5 more overdraft fees that were dated for the previous day, but were charged to the account 5 days prior. I called again and was told that there was no proof that I set up overdraft protection in May and that I should have known that it takes 2-3 business days to set up overdraft protection even though the charges were made 5 days ago.

The extremely rude lady (a manager) said that it was my problem and to deal with it. Of course I became angry and with understanding! Eventually after one week of fighting, a lady in the branch took care of the fees and acually set up my overdraft. FINALLY But that is just one account!

Wells Fargo Auto Finance: I have had this account since November. Every month I would get calls on this account, even though I was paying the payment 7-14 days in advance online though Wells Fargo. I even have proof of the day I authorized the payment, and it would take between 14-30 days for the payment to post! This is from Wells Fargo Checking Account to Wells Fargo Auto Finance!!! Why should it take up to a month to post? Good luck asking Wells Fargo! They only become rude and have no answer saying that I need to make the payment earlier! And the late fees were rarely ever taken care of!!!

When I started the Credit Counseling in May, things only became worse. They began to mail the payments, and Wells Fargo still hasn't found them. For example: the payment was mailed out to Wells Fargo from Care One 5/21/07 and finally cleared on 6/28/07, but they still can not find the payment, even though they cashed it. June's payment was mailed out 6/19/07 and cleared on 7/2/07, but they still haven't found it (I have documents to prove all of this).

Just in 3 days, Wells Fargo called my house 20 times (I have documentation to prove this). They also called my cel phone 9 times 3 days, and called me this morning at 5am! This is definately not the first 5am call I have recieved. It has happened about 10 times. Sometimes they hang up on me when I tell them what time it is, and other times they tell me it is my fault for living in Nevada and having a cell phone with a West Virginia area code. This was supposably fixed in their system several times.

When I call to complain about these 5am calls, they tell me I am lying because they do not start calls until 8am. But if they were a little smarter, they would realize that is 8am eastern time not pacific! What Smart People!!! And they wonder why I am so irritated?! I am so sick of it! This problem has made me so stressed and I've became depressed over these matters. I was even in the hospital last month for anxiety attacks. Anyway, lets go to account #3.

Wells Fargo Car Loan: My fiancee bought a 04 X-Terra in Feb 07. We first switched insurance from his previous car that he wrecked to his new car through Progressive. When he decided to switch to State Farm a few weeks later, we contacted Wells Fargo by calling them to let them know we switched coverage, we faxed them the information, and State Farm mailed them the info.

Well we recieved a letter in the mail in June from Wells Fargo saying that they were going to increase the payment amount on the X-Terra for $190 because we do not have insurance on the vehicle. So we called Wells Fargo again with the information, and I faxed them a copy of the insurance card 2 more times.

Last week, we recieved a late notice from Wells Fargo with the remaining balance of $190 and have had several calls. What else can I tell them??? No matter what I do, nothing gets done!!! The Wells Fargo employees do not put out an effort to solve any problems!!! I do not know what else to do! They call me so much in one day that I can't take it anymore! If anyone knows how to help, or who I can file a complain or lawsuit with, please help!
