OneClickCash - Phil Garrett Claimed In Bankruptcy, Shows Up On Credit Report 1 Year Later ripoff

I use a credit monotoring service that pulls my information on a daily basis. This morning, a new collection account appeared under PentaGroup Collection, originating from OneClickCash. I proceeded to call PentaGroup, and they informed me that they no longer handle OneClickCash collection accounts, and gave me the phone number for OneClickCash.

I called OneClickCash and spoke with Phil Garrett, who informed me that I have an outstanding account in his office. I informed him that I had claimed the account in my Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. He stated that his offices are "on top" of bankruptcy proceedings, and that his office never received my bankruptcy information. He then proceeded to tell me that the judge must have not given the account a discharge and that I had to pay the account off.

I informed him that I was not paying off the account as it HAD been discharged, and asked for his contact information to send a copy of the discharge paperwork. He then proceeded to get an attitude with me and he did not want to give me the information, and insisted the judge did not grant my discharge to this account.

I finally got the fax number from him and faxed over the information on my discharge, as well as a letter stating that it is illegal to attempt to collect a debt that has been discharged from bankruptcy and I will take action, if necessary. I have yet to hear anything, however this man is sly and thinks he can pull a fast one.

Considering that my discharge happened almost a year ago, he is trying to make his commission dollars by collecting illegal debts. My account with OneClickCash is almost three years old, and I have never had anything on my credit report reflecting the account util today. Beware of payday lenders, some can be sharks!
