Told me I would receive a Mastercard with credit limit of $2500 Took $247 out of my checking account on 8-2-02

I had told Beneficial CLient when they contacted me that I had been having credit problems due to illness and being out of work for the first time in my life in 2001. Also that my prior divorce had left me in a bad cfredit situation. They assured me this was not a scam and that indeed I would receive a credit card.

What an idiot I was. I am supposed to be intelligent, am educated etc. It was just a bad time for me and I fell into the trap.

I just went online and there they were under a scam listing. I am still in a bad credit situation and I should have paid my past due bills instead of paying them. Of course at the time I did not know that my life was going to take a turn for the worse and that I would be unable to keep my committments to my other creditors.
