Peoples Credit First and others
Peoples Credit First is a ripoff, they Scammed me with the promise of a platinum card

I feel extremely foolish for also having fallen for this scam. Part of me realizes too late that the anonymous person who posted the "society's losers" comments just might be correct. Although, I have to disagree with that particular comment but the general gist of his or her report is pretty much on the money. The other part of me agrees with Steven Papi that we don't have to take any of this crap lying down. His advice on how to try to collect our monies is greatly appreciated.

I also contacted my bank and requested the name of the "processing company" — unfortunately, the account number to where it was deposited is conveniently smudged so we were unable to decipher it. They are sending me a copy of the cancelled check. I can cut my losses with the "processing fee" they swindled from me but I won't go down without a fight. However, it's a scary thought to know that those evil dirtbags could debit my account in the future for their own dishonest purposes.

Has anyone thought about starting a class-action lawsuit against them? Peoples Credit First was not the only one who has tried to seduce me with the promise of a new credit card — just the only one who has succeeded.
I have received repeated offers from USA Gold for $5000, Maxxim Platinum for $7500, Plains Commerce Bank for an undisclosed amount, Visa Gold (a solicitation email sent by a marketing company affiliated with First National Bank of Marin), along with countless others whose names I can't even think of right now.

Most of them come from mailing agents like FREECARDSEARCH and Virtumundo (whaaat the hell...?) and Credit Provider. If you have any more helpful information, please don't hesitate to share. Remember, we're all in this together!
